It is such an exciting place to be when you have to rely on God completely. I know we should always be in a place of knowing that God is our provider but it is all too easy to take things for granted, especially when we have a job that is bringing in an income. God provides the job but somehow we can fall into the trap of thinking we are providing for ourselves.
The other night we found out we are going to need to pay our accountant in India $1000USD after he has finished incorporating our business and that we will need $2000USD in capital in the company. We know these are legit prices after doing a bit of research and getting a few other quotes. So we were wondering where we were going to get $3000USD without dipping into our airfares that we have been putting money aside for. And here's what God has done: I woke early on Saturday morning and decided to check our bank account online. When I had logged on I noticed that there seemed to be way more in our account than there should have been, in fact, there was $2000 more! I went to our statement page and found I had been given a refund from IRD of $2230. We also received a home school supervisor form that gets given out every 6 months and there will be about $1100coming our way soon. This means we are only about $500 short now. Our God is an amazing God, he really does provide for what we need in ways that we don't even think about.
Our God is so good! God has been so patiently trying to teach my husband and me this very thing..it can be so easy to fall back into our old line of thinking (Thank goodness for his patience!) It amazes me when I think of all that HE has provided--What a glorious God we serve!
