Woo Hoo!!!!

According to our accountant in India, our company has now been incorporated. It has been a long process but looks like we have made it through without too much stress. We now need to get the certificate of incorporation before we can apply for our employment visas. We are praying this will come through quickly so we can still be away in early Feb.

Sean (who is also coming over with us for a few weeks) sent away his visitor visa application yesterday. It would be so good if we can still all fly together.

We ended up buying a vodafone stick that enables us to surf the web wherever we are. It meant that we were not bound to staying near Internet access and could travel around a bit. Check out some pics of what we were doing while waiting for news from India:

There may be a silver lining

Last night we received an e-mail from our accountant in India who also happens to be our power of attorney. It was such beautiful English, he said, "We are personally pushing up the matter at Bangalore with ROC.
Shall get back to you in case any help is required." I am not mocking his English because I can't even speak another language (yet) but I do love the way Indians phrase things sometimes. It's refreshing and sometimes a little confusing.

Our friend in Delhi also made a phone call to our accountant and said he still is very hopeful that everything will be complete by the 25th Jan. We shall sit tight, pray and wait to see.

I can't remember if I did a post about the fact that we have been offered an apartment in Bangalore. They will hold it for us until April. It is a 4 bedroom apartment but other than that we know little else. They are going to send us some photo's sometime.

We had dinner the other night at Ben and Vinu's place and they had also invited another Kiwi lady who has spent about 30 years in India and Nepal. As soon as I saw her and found out her name, I realised I had known her from about 20 years ago and had done gymnastics with her daughter for a few years. Her husband had died in Nepal years ago and her daughter Rosalind was made blind in one eye after a caterpillar hair got into it. She still remained in Nepal with her 4 daughters and has never stopped doing the work she had begun with her husband despite him passing away. She is a very strong, determined lady and someone who we know will pop in for a cuppa in Bangalore. It is such a very small world.

Hmmmm

Where to start.... Well, there is not much to tell really about where our progress is at. Our company papers have been rejected again and we have to re submit one of the forms but we are not sure what needs to be done yet. David will ring our accountant tonight to see what is happening.

I know that God's timing will be perfect but in my human frailty I feel a bit flat and dejected. It's not that I am moping around but it is almost feeling like a dream that is just not falling into reality at the moment. I think that my heart is already in India and I am just longing to be there. I feel home sick for a land and people that I barely know.

I am prepared to wait for the perfect timing but I would love a preview of when that will be :)

We are currently down in Christchurch with David's family. We came down to say our final farewells but it feels strange to say goodbye and not know when we are leaving yet.

We have had a great time down here. When we arrived they had made up our bed with a pink sari hanging over the top and rose petals all over the bed. It was beautiful. They have been so hospitable. It is a lot to put up the eight of us. David's two sisters also came to join us. One is from Auckland and the other from Blenheim. It has been great to have everyone together.

In about an hour we will say our farewells and head back to Auckland. It will be the first of our big goodbyes.
