Floods in Bangalore, Karnataka

Floods have hit southern India with over 200 dead and they are thinking that up to about 750,000 and rising people have been displaced and left homeless.

After a a very dry monsoon season the rains have come powering in wreaking havoc throughout the south. The water levels are still 5 to 10ft in certain areas and the water is not draining away quickly. Obviously, disease and sickness is a real threat with this much stagnant water lingering.

Bangalore is the capital of the state of Karnataka in southern India and is where we are heading, we have people we know living there and our heart and prayers goes out to all those affected by the floods.
